My first time to hear Francis Kong was in 1997 when I was asked by my boss at that time to listen to a guy I never heard before and on a docked ship that doubles as a library (MV Doulos). From that time, I became a huge fan of this man who never ceases to inspire me and countless others. I would bump into him a couple of times in many conferences where I would be attending and he would be a speaker — all those time, I remain to be a huge admirer.

10 years after our first encounter, I was blessed to spend a whole day with him as he invited me and Chinkee Tan to one of his training programs in Tagaytay — an event that will forever change my life. From that time on, Francis was not only a role model to me, he became a mentor. Despite his extreme busyness, Francis Kong will always have time to give counsel, advice and even a few laughs with me and many others. He is the country’s most admired motivational speaker not only because he is full of wisdom and an excellent communicator, but largely because he is a person who truly loves the Lord.
